Sarine Technologies Ltd and China’s National Gemstone Testing Center (NGTC) are offering co-branded grading reports and services aimed at establishing a new industry standard for the mainland market.
NGTC has conducted extensive diamond tests using DiaMension® HD and Sarine Light™ following a 2019 agreement to co-develop new testing guidelines for China. With improved internal testing methods and data collection and analysis, alongside regular communication with Sarine, NGTC has effectively established a new industry standard for light performance, according to Sarine.
The new standard based on the Sarine Light™ device takes diamond grading standards to a higher level of accuracy and consistency by expanding diamond classification beyond the standard 4Cs, grading visual beauty in terms of brilliance, fire, sparkle and light symmetry. With NGTC’s new co-branded light performance grading report, consumers will be able to attain accurate data on their diamond’s unique beauty and benefit from a higher industry standard.
David Block, CEO of Sarine Technologies, said this initiative brings “a new level of polished diamond appreciation to the Chinese consumer.”
The collaboration is expected to create new experiences for diamond retailers and consumers, heighten transparency and facilitate a more robust diamond consumer market, added Block.
