The sparkle of statement jewellery

Bold, luxurious jewellery pieces are making a striking comeback at high-profile celebrity events, led by eye-catching designs and vibrant gemstones.

Underlining the trend are dazzling colour-saturated gems, striking torque necklaces and statement bangles and earrings – each adding drama and individuality to the red-carpet fashion scene.

Maximalism returns at the 77^th Emmy Awards held in September 2025, with Lisa Manobal of the South Korean girl group Blackpink stealing the jewellery spotlight. The singer wore a Bulgari Serpenti High Jewellery set adorned with mandarin garnets, pink sapphires and pave diamonds in 18-karat gold.

Jean Smart of Hacks and winner of the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series exuded elegance with a pair of pear-shaped fancy yellow diamond earrings embellished with an array of mixed-shape diamonds by Rahaminov Diamonds. She paired the earrings with a bypass ring featuring fancy brown and white diamonds, alongside a fancy yellow diamond ring.

Over at the 82^nd Venice International Film Festival, actress Shu Qi sported sparkling diamond jewellery, including a pair of Creole ear clips, bracelet and Panthère ring from the Cartier Collection as she graced the premiere red carpet and gala dinner of Girl.

Model Georgina Rodríguez, meanwhile, captivated onlookers with a dramatic collier in 18-karat white gold adorned with diamonds, rubies and pink sapphires from Pasquale Bruni's Rosina High Jewellery Collection.

Bold and edgy were also a recurring theme at the 2025 Met Gala. Singer Miley Cyrus made a fashion statement by donning a three-layer collar necklace in 18-karat yellow and white gold from the Cartier Collection, paired with Panthère ring with tsavorite garnets and onyx stones. Actress Halle Berry, meanwhile, was the epitome of modern sophistication with the Tsagaan necklace and earrings from Cartier’s En Equilibre High Jewellery Collection.
