Lunar sculptures: jewellery that shimmers through the night

Lunar sculptures: jewellery that shimmers through the night

To sculpt ethereal light and turn it into a talisman: this seems to be the creative impulse behind one of the season’s most refined trends. Cool gleams, liquid surfaces, sidereal effects: these are the hallmarks of sculptural jewels, traversed by lunar reflections and defined by architectural silhouettes and chiseled volumes.

Silver, titanium, and white gold are the metals of choice, seducing with their rarefied aura, symbols of a frosty yet assertive elegance that takes shape in minimalist forms, theatrical statements, or pieces imbued with artistic intent, always charged with presence.

Breil inaugurates a new chapter with its Sculpture collection: jewels animated by vibrant chiaroscuro, conceived to echo the body’s movements with magnetic force.

The French brand Qitteri offers a more exuberant take, orchestrating dialogues between bold, faceted gems in its sculptural rings. In the Miroir ring, a lagoon-blue tourmaline and a sky-hued aquamarine face each other in a chromatic tension that verges on the spiritual. White gold frames the composition, giving space to the stones' essence: pure light held captive in metal.

Maria e Luisa Jewels, true to her artisanal mastery, explores the material’s potential with poetic precision. In the San Marco Rock necklace, a deliberately irregular gourmette chain cradles an emerald-cut Rock Crystal, suspended on a damascened silver plate. Here, transparency heightens the lunar effect, revealing delicate motifs reminiscent of gothic engravings.
